Ned -
Is it a new installation, or been on your car a few years, you need to give
us more info before we can help you. Normally the seat back requires no
force whatsoever to flop down (that's what it'll do)... so my bet is you
have rusty hinges. Try WD40 or some sort of similar lubricant.
