The nuts holding the outboard drivers side seat slide to the floor pan
appear to be covered by muffler insulating board and the outboard muffler.
Removing the muffler without destroying it seems to be beyond my
capabilities. Any suggestions?
If I get the muffler off, is there a more effective heat shield material
available to replace the existing board?
On both sides of the car, between the outboard seat slide and the rocker
panel, 2 " forward of the shut pillar there is a short bolt in the floor pan
engaging a captive nut on the underside of the floor. What might this be
used for?
Your responses are greatly appreciated.
