Jack stowage

How is the jack stored in an early BN4?  Is it just stored loose in the small
well on the left below the spare tire, or is it strapped in somehow?

I just finished the installation of my spare tire yesterday, complete with a
new leather strap from McGregors (which looks & smells great).  That pretty
well wraps things up in the trunk, except for the jack.
