Door Striker Nut

I lost the nut that secures the door striker (moss part no. 401-093) the
chrome piece on the early cars that catches the peg in the door and keept
the door shut.

Anyway I have the striker piece but am missing the nut that holds it on,
can't find it in the catalogs, and don't seem to have any nuts that fit the
threads, is this one Whitworth? Or will I be able to get something at the
local hardware store.
