Bill,

First, you have to remove the engine and transmission.


Just kidding.


The boot's edge is just a "U" shaped channel that fits the edge of the 
hole in the transmission cover.  Just peel it off.

"Left hand" is the driver's side for a left-hand drive (steering) car.
