Back in the day that "our cars" were everyday drivers everyone said you needed to use Castrol or Girling brake fluid. When questioned as to why the answer was that "normal DOT 3 would gum up the rubber seals used in the brakes, and could cause leaks or failure" I do not know if this is true, never wanted to chance it, so always have used Castrol brake fluid on my British cars (except for now, I am using silicone DOT 5) Greg Lemon 54 BN1 |
