Well, it has finally happened! The 4" hairline crack on the passenger's
side, top edge, that I have been procrastinating, has split all the way down
to the dash.
What is the current wisdom for replacing windshields? I know that on a new
car, they do it in your driveway, with glue. But given the Healey design,
I'm sure the whole frame has to to be taken off the car, which means it can
be done in a shop.
For what it is worth, this is a one-owner car, 1962 BT7, windshield has
never been apart, or off; therefore all the screws are likely frozen, seals
need replacing, etc.
So -- who has had a GOOD experience, hopefully in Northern California?
