I agree with those who say to use a full trailer to take your car home
especially if you have spent a lot of money to have it repainted. That was
not an issue with me when I moved however, I did shroud the car with a cover
in the front. But, basically, had my car been a new restoration and not a
daily driver, I think that I would have also used full trailering.

If you are going to tow with a dolly then you must have the front 
wheels on the dolley and the rear wheels on the ground. If you put the 
rear wheels on the dolley then the wheels will be going backwards and 
the knock offs may come OFF because they are going backwards and you 
will loose a wheel.
