Just to add to what Rich said.
I wasn't inferring that the BN4 seats were the norm as I know they are
not. But I had noticed in some contemporary road test pictures that the
seats were as per a BN4 so it just got me wondering when the actual cut
off point might have been, and that's why I asked the original
question..
BTW This was before I got Peter's photo which was just a pure
coincidence (and a great photo).
I would tend to agree with John though - that any old stock was probably
used up first. After all why wouldn't they, things were different then,
the marketing wasn't as precise. If you look at the BN6 brochures you'll
see they show BN4 seats.
