A friend with a BJ8, while cruising up a long hill on a hot day, the engine
just quit. Pulled over, started again but would barely run, stalled again and
would not restart. Flatbedded home, next day started ok and ran fine, but
he's afraid to drive it for fear of a re-occurance. Carbs were rebuilt not
too many miles ago along with plugs, points etc. Fuel in glass filter is
clear. I'm thinking vapor lock...but where...at carbs? Fuel Pump? Also
maybe an intermittant fuel pump...Its an original SU.
Any other thoughts?
