I used helicoils in two of the holes on my right front shock mount. Either
way, the critical part of the job is getting the holes perfectly vertical.
I had to use a right angle attachment on my drill because there is very
little vertical clearance in this area.

Subject: Shock Mounts
Has anyone had any success drilling and tapping stripped captive front shock
mount nuts oversize to 7/16-20?
