The leak that will most likely cause this problem is the header to
downpipe junction. check it to see that everything is firmly bolted
here. If so... you may have a problem with weak spark / ignition, it
can cause this problem as well if your car is not combusting the fuel
entirely. have you checked your ignition system lately? Things to
look at include coil, plugs (maybe one is bad or dirty?) , condensor
and points. Also, are you using carbon or solid core wires? If you
are using carbon wires... it can cause this problem when one of them
starts going bad. Switch to metal ignition wires if you've used
supressor wires.
