However, the fuel pump on my BN6 is polarity sensitive. Reverse the polarity
and you will blow the diode in it. (Which I have done)

check tech items on ntahc.org primarily tach needs loop modified and coil
needs to be reversed -- fuel pump probably doesn't care.
