The use of the six-port head on the 57 Mille Miglia car (UOC 741) gave rise to
the name 100-Six "MM" which was used by dealers and journalists particularly in
America.
The six port head was actually first used on the 1956 endurance car even
before the 100-Six was introduced with its gallery head.
The 57 sebring race and 57 Mille Miglia were close together but ive forgotten
the exact dates. It does seem that the first post-gallery head useage could
have been at Sebring and not the MM...Interesting...100-Six "S" anybody?
