Owning several cars, I've found that a manual tire
changer is a very useful, and somewhat labor
intensive, tool. I got tired of ripped tubes and lack
of knowledge about w/w's from tire shops so I bought a
man. changer on eBay for under $50. delivered. It came
from Harbor Freight and it works great. I use tire
lubricant from NAPA to make the tire more plyable,
baby powder on tube and inside of tire, and coat the
inside of rim with a grease like substance that was
recommended by TCI Tires in Marlboro, NY, where I get
my tubes(good price). Spokes are available from the
usual sources, the last ones I bought came from Vic.
Brit. along with a spoke wrench. Heat can be used to
loosen rusty nipples on loose spokes. Some claim that
the inexpensive "bubble" balancer is the best way to
go with w/w's.
