After considered discussion with participants on both the Healeys and
Spridgets lists, my friend has decided that he is willing to sell his Sprite
as-is/where-is for any price over $8,000. He's going to sell the Judson
supercharger
separately, believing that it will have maximum value for a vintage racer or
modified street Sprite, rather than a concours-original Bugeye owner. If he
can't get $8,000 selling it outright, he figures he can get that much, plus
expenses and a reasonable return on his restoration time by restoring it and
selling
it at auction.
So if you're aware of anyone willing to spend that amount of money for a
complete, good-running, nut-and-bolt original Sprite with no structural rust or
body damage, let me know.
