Behind the grille on a 100 is a horizontal sheet metal piece between the grille & the radiator & a vertical sheet metal piece also between the grille & radiator. The horizontal part appears to be a baffle to direct the air from the grille into the radiator & prevent the air from going below the radiator. What is the purpose/function of the vertical part?
