Good evening gentlemen,
I to-day had a request from a Foreign gentleman from a lesser fortunate land
that requested exterior door handles for a BJ8, his were pitted due to "monkey
metal" and the lock retainer was broken, a button was broken and neither did
he have any keys.
I told him to purchase these for a 1950's Ford Consul,Zephyr or a Zodiac as
the drivers door was exactly the same as the BJ8 complete with lock, the other
three doors are the same but do not have the lock in the push button. I
believe that these can be purchased for around 35 Stg pounds each as against
about 100stg for the Austin Healey complete.
The silly "sod" said, "but I do not wish to purchase Ford," I vant zee hustin
heely" some people you cannot help at all.
Now fella's THAT is a more acceptable Friday joke!!!??? especially for the
dainty fairies.
