Hi Scott,
Oh sure, having the car impounded once wasn't enough. Now you want your
friends to ship LSD!!
I just got a set of new wire wheels from Hendrix Wire Wheels. I highly
recommend Alan, a friendly and knowledgable man. Great service! These wheels
may be the flavor your looking for. Dayton 72 spoke stainess, 6" wide but a
16" diameter instead of the original 15". I put some Yokohama 205/60 HR16's
on them and they look stunning. Apparently, they raised a little commotion
with other customers while they were at the shop. This tire has a diameter
of 25.7" very close to the original so I don't think it'll effect the
speedometer much nor the ride height. I will have to flare the fender a
little. Alan also sells an alternator conversion kit.

My BJ7 has finally arrived down under from the US.
It has an interesting history. Originally a LHD car it was converted to RHD
(I guess in the UK) and then shipped back to the US carrying a shipment of
drugs! It was intercepted and then sold by the FDA to the guy who then
onsold to me.
The "restoration" is very average - good panels and paintwork (BRG) but
tatty details (missing many seals and the rust in the trunk floor was not
replaced.
I am ready to get going and have a friend moving downunder who has offered
to ship the parts I buy in their household shipment. So am wanting to
quickly buy what I need stateside and need some guidance from the list.
The car is quick (triple 2" su's) and I am looking to pep it up a little
more and ensure the brakes and suspension match. The motor performance
parts I want to buy are:
- Tube shock conversion front and rear - Putzke kit (Bilsteins) vs. Koni
shockers? Any other kits available?
- Ventilated disc brake conversions front and rear.
- Brake booster
- Alternator
- Electronic ignition
- LSD
- 72 spoke x 6 inch painted Dayton wire wheels
- Alloy fliptop petrol cap and neck
- L/H footwell,floor and tunnel area insulation
Can the listers please advise what brand/ model you would go with in each
case and to whom you would go in the US for these parts.
Thanks
Scott J Graham
