Hi,
Looking at the number of reactions to my previous question about the transfer
of an address book I never realised that so many Healey owners are also
computer specialists. I now dare to put another question in front of you:
While installing Netscape on my brand new computer I made a mistake while
entering the password to my provider. Consequently the mail server refused to
let me in. In then removed all Netscape software from my computer via the
'software/deinstall' program and installed Netscape again. All looks well till
the moment I try to contact my e-mail provider, which brings the following
message on my screen: Quote The PASS command did not succeed. Mail server
pop3.tiscali.nl responded: [AUTH] invalid user or password. Unquote. After I
accept with the OK button the message returns for 2 more times and then stays
away.
As far as I understand, the incorrect log-in details of my first effort are
still on my machine somewhere, despited the fact that I removed the software.
Therefore again: anyone out there who can help?
My problem is that Netscape is hardly known over here, so neither the helpdesk
of my provider nor the guys who sold me my new computer can help me.
Thanks in advance.
