The first Metallic Gold Beige BJ8 was chassis number 40190, according to the book by John Wheatley. The chassis number of the Metallic Gold Beige BJ8 that just sold for $97K at Barrett-Jackson is 40165. Would this discrepancy be considered a "non-compliance" with concours standards? If not, could any Phase 2 BJ8 be painted Metallic Golden Beige and still not lose points in concours? Just curious. Steve Byers HBJ8L/36666 BJ8 Registry Havelock, NC |
