Hi Folks,
While I'm still working on getting the suspension back under my car, I
thought I would start getting some of these odd and end chrome pieces
re-done. Actually, what made me think of it was the brake handle and I
wanted to send a few pieces to my local chrome shop to test their quality.
It is my understanding that the brake handle assembly must be totally taken
apart to be re-chromed. Sounds like I need to drill out the pin for the
button. Is this correct? If so, how to re-assemble?
Also, I was going to test this shop with the door strikers, but how do these
come apart? After removing the acorn nut from the back, the striker still
seems to be pressed into some sort of very hard rubber.
