Carlos , I suggest you go to Kragen, pep boys, grand auto or some other
cheep auto parts store and buy a micrometer . They are only about $20
on sale and you are going to need one anyway. This is not much money
when you consider how much money you are about to spend on a motor. You
can easily spend $3000 to $5000 dollars building a 6cyl motor and using
a mic.to find out where you stand before you are caught flat footed at
the machinist is well worth the $20. Go to your manual and find the
spec for the diameter of your crank journals and compare those with
what you read on your crank. This should tell you where you stand. When
you take your parts to the machinist have them magnaflux them before
you order any work done. You might find that something has a crack and
you want to leave your options open.If you have not rebuilt a motor
before you need to find someone who knows about british motors ,they
are not like a Chevy and you should be cautious who you let rebuild
them. Have fun, stay calm and don't forget your wallet. Best regards ,
Juanito
