Mark,
I have used carbon wires in the standard cap for years without trouble using
the screw connectors. When I replace plug wires every few years, I leave
each a bit long in case I need to snip off a 1/2" at the cap end so the
screw can pierce a new hole. I had tough time finding a cap the last time;
many of the suppliers were out.

Has anyone stumbled across a contemporary distributor cap (top load) for
the
DM6 distributor in a 1960 Bt7. I would like to use the contemporary carbon
wires and get away from the "bee sting screw" connections.
I already took a shot at a TR6 tune up kit but the cap does not fit. I
don't really care if its an after market cap.
Any Jag owners out there that may have crossed over one of their caps to a
Healey?
No help in the archives.
Thanks, Mark
