Thanks again to all who gave suggestions to diagnose and fix subject problem.
1. Cause of problem: Loose wires on HL switch and no insulation tape covering
three posts. My wiggling loose switch too much. Switch now firmly seated on
dash with tightening of ring on front.
Fix: Replace one 35 amp fuse on firewall and one 20 amp fuse in the
inlinewiring to HL switch. Redo wiring to the 3 post on back of switch and
tape post well.
