Don't know if your solenoid question has been answered or not (maybe we other
interested listers were not included) The Anderson/Moment book on pages 149
and 155 shows the two wire terminal to be closest to the footwell. I think
your starter lead is correct.

Anybody know which cable goes to which terminal on the starter solenoid;
i.e. does the terminal closest to the engine connect to the starter cable,

the battery cable?
I've always connected with the terminal closest to the engine going to the
starter (logical), but the two replacement solenoids I've seen come with
spade lugs on that terminal, which would seem to indicate they are a path
to the battery.
