Hi Tracy
The stiffener (either oak or folded metal) should sit on top of the stiffner
bar.
The flap of material sewn to the underside of the tonneau cover then folds
under the stiffner bar and clips to the turn stud on the underside of the
stiffner.
This keeps it all nice and tight even at 100.
