Some ten years ago I restored my 100 as completely as I knew how.
This month I started losing coolant. Had difficulty located source of leak.
Finally found it.
When reassembling the engine, and fastening the generator hold-down
plate to the block, I had not noticed that the two inside tapped holes led
directly into the water jacket.
One screw had loosened. The leak and stain had been hidden from sight
under the generator.
New studs and Permatex should solve the problem.
