Fellow listers:
In the process of restoring the steering box and steering idler on my BJ7, I
found that the steering box and steering idler spacer brackets are cracked
axially along one of the bolt holes. It looks like they are made of some kind
of soft metal that has some corrosion on it. Have any of you run into the same
problem? Can they be repaired, i.e. welded or do they have to be replaced?
