Hi Bruce:
No experience with the conversion - haven't tried it because replacing the
pump is less expensive. I've used the Moprod pump - LED triggered - about
$90 CAD - plastic bodied, so either POS or NEG ground, a diaphragm type pump
(ticks just like the original), same pressure and flow characteristics so no
other add-ons are necessary. I've had them in both cars for a while now -
no problems.
Only downside is that you have to be very careful doing up the banjo
fittings on any plastic bodied pump - it's all too easy to strip the
threads.

There is a version of this pump available off the shelf right here in
Victoria that others have been using.
IMHO, it's the way to go. If you're in Victoria to visit your car at
