Incidentally, there has been some discussion
recently among members of the concours committee regarding potential
deductions
for non-BMC, non-Donald Healey accessories.
At least a steering wheel is easy to switch out. It's their game, so I
guess they get to make the rules, but I think restrictions like this made on
a car built from available shelf parts from even outside England are a
little bizarre. Especially considering what might have been dealer
installed, such as mirrors, radios and so forth in the USA. Given my
admittedly limited understanding of DMH's philosophy, non-DMH accessories
would only be those which made the car go slower, turn wider or stop longer.
