Hi Ray,
On a 3000....
The small pins which go through the A arms to hold the lower link fulcrum pin
in place are tapered, and I believe the holes they go into are tapered too.
The holes do go through the arm at an angle in any case and therefore,the arm
cannot be inverted, I believe.

I can't speak to how to check an a-arm for bend, but I suspect that the
fulcrum pins (all 3) as well as the attachment points at the frame would bend
before the arms would. -But that's just a guess. (I hope I never find out).
I'd think a good indicator of whether the arms are OK would be whether the
spring pan appears bent or buckled or will line up with the arms when
assembled..
