Ron:
I distinctly remember the Harmo exhaust products line (they may have made
other parts too). Haven't seen the name available for sale since the late
70's - early 80's. As I recall, they weren't the best quality exhausts at
the time, but for a while, it was all that was available.
As far as I know, about the only quality mild steel Healey mufflers
available today are the Walker UK items - and they seem to be fine, and are
available individually (without having to buy the whole system, as in the
stainless exhausts).
I am quite happy with the Falcon stainless system on the BT7 - it is a bit
quieter than stock and doesn't sound quite 'proper', but you get used to it.
The older I get, the more I appreciate the quiet on a long days drive,
especially if it's followed by a second day (and maybe more)!

Subject: Harmo muffler
Does anyone know anything about mufflers manufactured by Harmo for Austin
Healey BN7. Would this be a good choice for a mild steel muffler? Is it
any
different from the ones that are sold by Moss or VB?
Thanks,
Ron
