I isolated a Pioneer negative ground AM/FM tape player (the hot set up on
those days) in my MGB-GT about twenty years ago, I nearly burned the car and
myself to the ground, I did succeed in filling the interior with smoke on a
crowded street in downtown Lincoln, NE, to the delight of all.  I would
convert my car to negative earth before I would try that again.
