I am having a little difficulty with the rear license plate holder. The rear
bumper has two posts supporting the illumination housing. The rear aluminum
cowling was drilled amatuerishly with two holes, not very parallel to the
ground, to take on a modern small (12") license plate holder, and there are no
indications of other early holes in the aluminum for the original bracket, now
long gone. I am mounting the older vintage license (13-1/2"), and wonder if
anyone has an original holder around for patterning the correct mount. Also,
is it possible that the older holders were extended forward from the inside of
the rear bumper rather than springing out of the rear cowl? I can envision a
holder using the same two bolts which affix the light housing bracket, but
will defer to anyone who has the correct design. Allen Miller, 100M
