Shortly after starting out this morning I climbed up to the Blue Ridge 
Parkway and drove north on it as far as Waynessboro, then took surface roads 
across 
Virginia and crossed the Potomac into Maryland around 2:30, arriving home an 
hour later.  Total mileage to, at and from Conclave:  6417.  I burned four 
quarts of oil and got a consistent 24 mpg regardless of speeds.
