Carroll,
Have you considered turning the ring over and counter-sinking the holes on
the other side? Perhaps it's beyond buffing, but that's what came to mind
first (cuz I'm cheap). A decent hardware store or fastnere supply should be
able to provide new screws (stainless?)

Subject: moto lita steering wheel parts
Hello all,
Need to find new or perfect used,
Trim ring and chrome flat slot head screw kit for the Moto Lita wheel (
Healey application).
P.O. had trafficator adjusted wrong and lever did scoring damage to alum
ring and screw heads.
Moto Lita in England wants a HUGE shipping rate about eight times the price
of the trim ring kit.
Any help would be apreciated
