Hi Lin
When I restored my BT7 a few years ago I found that the fasteners were pan
head #10 x 32 1/2" long with a spring washer and nut. These fitted the holes
exactly.
All other cars I looked at were the same and not self tapping as Rich
suggests.
They are not too hard to install. I don't think I would like to rely on self
tappers in that location as the panel creates a great moment load acting on
those fasteners.
