John,
If the nut is the flat sheet metal type, hold the script tight against
the panel with one hand & push the nut on tight over the stud with the
other hand. If this hurts your fingers too much, set the jaws of a small
crescent wrench to stud width plus a little & push the wrench against
the nut. You get the idea, any one of a dozen variations of the c wrench
or other "tool"will work.
