Always wanted to find the time to build a Healey 4000 clone from an unrestored car. "Course I will never find that kind of time. There have been long running rumors that the the Datsun "Z" engine was created as a copy of the Healey six. Supposedly it's almost a perfect match for motor mount position, linkages, etc. Datsun is said to have bought 3 of the last production BJ8s...in an effort to copy what mattered. Dave |
