G'day

The unbelievable thing about Healey Ice Blue is that it wasn't popular
at all when the cars were first built. In fact quite a few were actually
resprayed in the hope of increasing sales.

Metallic colours were being used by the Donald Healey Motor Company on
Healey Elliotts and Westlands from as early as 1946.

Re Gregs letter,
my BN1 is original and was the 70th car
made, it
sat in a museum for many years. The body is ice blue (says so on the
original
log book issued to the Donald Healey Motor Company) it is metallic. The
interior is blue leather and the hood (sorry you Yanks) top is black.
Hardly any of my younger friends believe that such a great metallic
colour
was available 50 years ago.
