I am in the process of purchasing a couple of pounds of nuts and bolts for
my restoration.   I'm focusing mostly on the suspension areas right now and
need to know if grade 5 or 8 fine thread bolts were used?  Some of these
bolts available are gold, silver or black in color.   Is there any
significance to these colors as far as an anti rust coating or is this just
the color of the metals used?  

Concourse is not an issue.
