Pete -

Any rebuilt brake booster MUST be resleeved... if it
hasn't been resleeved it will only last about a year
or 10,000 miles before it breaks again. If you buy a
rebuilt booster make sure it is a resleeved unit.

You can also get the PBR unit out of Australia. I
think it is a little cheaper than the Lockheed unit,
can be mounted using original mounting hardware (with
some modification), and has a firmer sportscar feel to
the pedal. The original BJ8 booster is a bit
overboosted and makes the BJ8 brake a hair touchy if
you ask me. I've had the PBR unit on my BJ8 for 10
years and it still works like a champ! Before I put
the PBR unit on, I had rebuilt my old booster 3 times
in a row in three years and finally got the message!

Cheers,

Alan
