Should be no problem. We have seen some of the dreaded black ooze on
cubes again, but I'm hoping it's not a second batch of bad potting
compound. This *IS* affected by heat, but when all is right in the
world (and with your G-Cube), heat is not a problem until you get up to
really hot stuff, like hot enough to melt the case. When you are
actually recording you wouldnt' want high heat (say nothing over 140 or
so) but for just storing the cube it shouldn't be a problem.
BTW, if anyone out there has seen any black ooze coming out of the
bottom of your G-Cube, call me immediately. These are a free warranty
item no matter how old the Cube. We know of a batch that were produced
about 2-3 years ago with bad potting compound which has now begun to
ooze, but we haven't seen any of the newer cubes with this problem.
