Right now, no, GEEZ doesn't work with a Visor Pro. It's an
odd problem and has to do with the serial communications on
the Visor being non-standard. There is a cable company out
there which had a cable that reportedly solved the problem,
but then they said that they were redesigning it so they
pulled it back off the market. I think they must have ran
into the same snag we found. Anyway, we sent a GEEZ package
to a contact at Handspring, who worked on it a little,
didn't find an answer, but better defined the problem, but
then mysteriously stopped answering our e-mails. So for
now, the answer is still no, but that could change in the
future.
Sorry I don't have any better information than that... If
anyone has a contact at Handspring that might be of some
help, pass it along to me! I'd like to get this resolved.
In the mean time I'm selling a lot of product for Palm,
including suggesting that folks buy an entire M100 for
around $90 instead of spending $40 for a serial cable for
the Visor that doesn't work properly anyway. That way they
can continue to use their Visor for work and other
applications, and dedicate their Palm to their racing
effort. And hey, with the M100 that cheap, if they driver
their race car over it in the pits, they haven't killed a
business machine!
