I've found it extremely hard to see my notebook screen as well.
One trick that I've been using is to engage auto-start with the
"mouse" thingy, and then to immediately move the mouse pointer
to the "stop" or "OK" button while I can still see the screen.
When the run(s) are over, I can just click the left "mouse"
button to save everything without having to re-squint at the
screen again. Who says that I'm not thinking/looking ahead??? :-)
