Andrew,
I presume they are sticking closed, not open?
I've seen some where the brass seat has a sharp edge that grabs the viton,
locking it shut.
I take a small center drill and break the sharp edge by hand. That seems
to help.
3 to 4 psi is plenty high enough. I run closer to 2 psi on mine.
