I would agree with Tony. Given that you never know if the casting of your =
head is thin at some location it is better to start on the conservative sid=
e. Better to leave a little power for next time than ruin a head you have =
lots of work in. I say this because there is far more power in the valves =
and porting than a .010 cut off the head for more compression. Ken

Working with my dad (uncle jack) we considered 0.130 to 0.150 "normal" to m=
ill, 0.190 to be where it started to get dangerous.=C2=A0 That said, there =

are.
