The Inn Marin was the host hotel in 2016. Closest to the track, about ten =
miles. =20
It's an old style inn. Single level room blocks where you can park close t=
o the door of your room. The restaurant is/was very good. A corporation b=
ought the place around 6 years ago. Before then it was original family own=
ed and well run and maintained. I had a less than pleasant experience ther=
e shortly after the owner change. I ended up cancelling my stay and went d=
own the road to Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn. Novato Oaks Inn is my f=
avorite lodging near Sonoma. A little more upscale to the Inn Marin. Very=
comfortable, very clean and equally upscale dining. A little more expensi=
ve too, but worth it to me in comparison. It is very possible that the Inn=
Marin has improved since my last experience, but I haven't had the opportu=
nity to try them again. The Inn Marin had been the best comfort and value =
nearest the track.
