I agree with Brad's recommendation on the Pauter rods. I went with them on
my Spit after talking to MGA guys. Their motors have more torque than mine
and I didn't come across any reports of rod induced failures.
I also never had a properly prepared Triumph rod fail either but how old
(and stressed) are the newest Spitfire rods now?
